Lead Scrap ISRI Code
RADIO
It consist of Lead waste present in the solid state but it
should be free of other materials, such as drosses, battery
plates, lead covered cable, collapsible tubes, type metals,
aluminum, zinc, iron and brass fittings, dirty chemical lead
and radioactive materials.
The trading of this material is based on clear specification
of other materials present in it prior to shipment and thus
requires proper agreement with clear specification.
Battery Lugs (RACKS)
Battery Lugs shall consist of solid lead recovered from used
batteries or battery production, must be free of oxide
material and may not contain foreign materials such as
plastic or glass. Shall consist of clean soft scrap lead,
free of other materials such as drosses, battery plates,
lead covered cable, hard lead, collapsible tubes, foil, type
metals, aluminum, zinc, iron and brass fittings, dirty
chemical lead and radioactive materials.
Battery Plate Scrap (RAILS)
Battery Plates shall consist of clean sorted lead/lead oxide
battery plates and may not contain foreign materials such as
plastic, or glass. The only other metallic that might be
included could be lead connectors.
Lead Wheel Weights (ROPES)
Lead Wheel Weights shall consist of lead wheel balancing
weights, May contain steel clips.
Lead Covered Copper Cable (RELAY)
Lead Covered Copper Cable Shall
consist of soft lead covered insulated or un-insulated
copper wire. Must be uniform cable suitable for cable
stripping operations
